Headlining: Red Hot Juba

In late April, I booked a group called "D Davis & Friends." I didn't know much about D and certainly had no inkling of his INCREDIBLE skills...lightning fast , clean & crisp guitar licks coupled with strong vocals and a great stage presence. D's ad-hock bluegrass get-up dropped my jaw...all night long (please note: my jaw is a barometer of the quality of music...the lower it goes, the more impressed I am). D is returning this time 'round with his more established group, Red Hot Juba. Catch 'em live at the 'Cake this coming Friday night!

The band doesn’t even know what they’ll play next from their vast repertoire of Hot Jazz, Blues, Swing, Bluegrass, Country, and a healthy dose of experimentalism and spontaneity.
