The Skinny Pancake is proud to bring on back Miss Nicole Erin Carey, a Burlington native whose charming folk music is as prime as her sewing and knitting skills. Whether wielding an acoustic guitar or banjo, Carey's sweetly unique voice singing songs inspired by the mountains, farms and birds of Vermont is a dead ringer influence from folk legends like Leadbelly or Woody Guthrie. Unlike those two, however, Nicole Erin's rosy little tunes are from a winsome young singer-songwriter taking in the greenery and wildflowers of our sugar maple state and using its beauty as an artful ingredient.
