Friends since their pre-college days back in New Hampshire, local singer-songwriters Nyiko Beguin and Ethan McBrien are about to bring us perfect little indie songs inspired by - what else? - sunlight, green grass, rubber ducks, and beautiful things. Though the founding members of this Burlington folk-pop favorite, Whales & Wolves have since grown into a four-man band including Peter Laplante on drums and McCrae Hathaway on bass. Nyiko and Ethan have been delivering heartfelt, memorable music since the summer of 2007. Having opened recently for national indie-folk favorites Fool's Gold and Vetiver at The Monkey House, the friend collaboration that makes up Whales & Wolves have some fire under their feet and are on the up and up.
