Ethan Snyder grew up in the quaint town of Florence, Vermont and has played music extensively with some honest players in Burlington, Vermont and Boston, Mass. He wishes to continue to play with these folks and anyone else whom plays from the heart and has their own sound. He doesn’t think that being young is a good excuse for sounding exactly like the masters. In actuality, he believes one should work on sounding unique before all else and hold this virtue the highest. This is easily done in his opinion, just be true to yourself and your habits as a musician and listen to what you want, not what someone else recommends. Break the mold, knock down some barriers: no one ever gets remembered for being a follower, especially in art. If you are an individual whom feels that these sentiments are correct and may be agreeable to what you believe, drop Ethan a line and he will certainly respond to you. He is currently happy to be playing in the following groups: WHOARFROST, Yerba Mate, and The Jason Hunter Quartet. He also leads his own group, The Ethan Snyder Project, which, as a rule doesn’t rehearse and leaves the playing to the bandstand, where they concoct improvisations from scratch that usually go well. Ethan believes that as long as you try and your heart is in the sounds 150%, you will always succeed. Energy over Cheese and Heart over Mind. Enjoy the day. Do and live well.
